15 Minute Photo Safari

This post is for my 15 minute photo safari that we had to do for week 1 of ds106. I did the safari at my aunt’s house right outside of Pittsburgh, PA. We went to my aunt’s to visit family and to celebrate the 4th of July and my cousin’s birthday. I thought I should have waited to do this assignment until we got to their house because my aunt has a lot of decorations in her house that were helpful for this assignment.

Even though I really like the picture of the two things that don’t belong together of the baby holding a beer, I think that my most inventive picture was the first picture of the baby for the futuristic picture. I used the baby for the futuristic picture because he is the future. I also like my picture for complexity because untangling headphones that have been in your pocket all day is very complex.

I thought that this experience was great because it challenged us to think outside the box for some of the requirements for the pictures. One of them was the “Take a photo that is looking through a frame or opening to something else” requirement where I took a picture looking through a door frame with the door opening to another room. I also Liked my idea for joy, where I took a picture of me feeding my aunt’s dog a chip.

someone else’s shoe
Make an inanimate object look alive
